1937 (23rd Dec) Sydney to Auckland by Imperial Airways flying boat "Centaurus". 2 covers sent by a well-known Sydney collector back to himself with red "return to sender" h/s & "Auckland 4 Jan 1938 Unclaimed" as address was shown as C/- Postmaster, Auckland. Also "AIR SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE" boxed cachet as these were not returned on the same service. Return NSW address on reverse. Good cond. Only 12 flown. AAMC 778 Cat. $500 each (2) (see plate 3)
