1858 (23rd Dec) cover to Richmond, Indiana with 1855/57 1/- green with wing margin tied by "176" barred numeral & B/S Chelmsford in black with LONDON P.V. in red & port cancel "L DE 23 A" boxed in black. Large N.Y. City 15 PAID 21 cds & "5cents" in red. Very worn but remains attractive with the original, fascinating, letter enclosed discussing extending Christian values to the "coloureds" in Jamaica & deploring slavery there. Cat. £350 on cover
