Cook M/S on 1970 registered cover (not FDC) to Israel with signed PO label inscribed "Inspected and Safe for Transmission" under which is an oval "POSTMASTER 19 SEP 1970 FAWKNER VIC 3060" datestamp. Accompanied by a PO directive to Postmasters instructing "Following explosions in aircraft carrying mail to Israel security aspects of acceptance of airmail to that country are being strengthened . . .". Jerusalem cds backstamp. An early & rare terrorism precursor.
