Taxed Mail 1959-1965 group of covers with Postage Dues or additional stamps affixed to cover deficiency. Taxed amounts range from 2d to 2/- with odd cover stampless. Most have "T" handstamps with some showing weight details. One (T 1/4d) handstamped "CLOSED AGAINST INSPECTION" & another with 5d tied by Thursday Island cds is struck "PAQUEBOT" (This is the only non-taxed cover). Nearly all to Melbourne addresses. Mixed cond especially the oversized covers. (56)
