1936 (1st Sept) Papua to Australia by RAAF Southampton Flying Boat via Darwin under command of A Hempol with Papua 3d Lakatoi Airmail & 2d SJ ovpt with manuscript cancel in 3 lines; "A 11-1 Port Moresby 28/9/35". Light Daru 28 SE 35 cds alongside. Addressed to Unanderra, NSW. Darwin b/s. Despite vertical fold, small tears at left & foxing this cover sold for $440 at Leski 2008 auction. AAMC 524 Cat. $600
