1941 (10th Dec) ½d kangaroo & 3d KGVI on "V FOR VICTORY" printed env with "A19" censor mark & addressed to Trinidad. Contains original letter to an American stamp collecting friend talking not only about the war tax surcharged issues from Australia but also the fact that the US was in the war after Pearl Harbour & what the letter writer would do if they made it to Australia! A lovely piece of social history to an unusual destination. Good cond.
