1931 (19th Dec) Two beautifully hand illustrated long covers originally intended for the 19th Nov ANA First All Australian Airmail flights but missed these (possibly because of the time to complete these works of art!!) Each with a selection of 6 KGV defins making the 1/4d rate tied by London Air Mail cds's. The first has a kookaburra holding in its mouth a placard reading "First All Australian Air Mail- 1931-Aust Nat'l Airways" while the second has hand-sketched aborigines with boomerangs behind carrying the flight wording. Unfortunately both showing signs of previous mould with the 6d KGV being pale grey. However they remain collectable & unusual. (2)
