1922 (2nd Nov) Cloncurry to Charleville cover & subsequently addressed to Toowoomba with 5d KGV tied by Cloncurry cds plus additional neighbouring strike dated 5 NO 22. This was carried by Hudson Fysh & PJ McGinnes on the return QANTAS inaugural official airmail. "FOR AERIAL TRANSMISSION FIRST TRIP AUSTRALIA'S SECOND AERIAL MAIL" red vignette top left. Closed tear at top not affecting stamp or vignette & part of back flap missing. A scarce cover. Similar (but with letter) sold Ace Stamp Auctions Sale No. 18 for $6000+BP. Ex Frommer.
