1926 (30th June) England to Australia & return endorsed "Per Alan J Cobham Esq Flight to Australia 29/6/26." in m/s on Union Insurance Society of Canton Ltd env front with GB 1½d KGV & Aust 1½d KGV both tied by Melbourne 16 AU 26 cds. Signed by Cobham & dated 24/8/26 beneath address in his hand before leaving Melbourne on the return flight. Incls original Union Insurance headed letter detailing the flight including the "De Havilland 50 Aeroplane - fitted with floats" & signed by the Melbourne Branch Manager. Some light staining & wear but scarce especially with the accompanying letter. Ex Frommer. AAMC 95, Cat. $4,250 (plate 1)
