1932 (5th June) Sydney to Bourke & return. Two covers carried by Roy H Mitchell in Jones Monoplane (first all-Australian designed & built plane) each signed "LJR Jones", the former with 2d KGV red tied by Stuart Town 14 JE 32 NSW cds (where the plane made a forced landing on the outward leg) plus a photograph of the pilot & designer with damaged plane. Latter endorsed "...carried on the Sydney to Bourke return flight..." & sent under cover to Crome by pilot's sister. Ex Frommer with only 10 flown. AAMC 269 x 2, Cat. $1200 (2)
