1935 (15th May) Australia to New Zealand & return "Jubilee Airmail" long cover Registered Scottsdale, Tas with 2/8d in franking (7 stamps) neatly tied plus Wellington 23 MY 35 cds tying 1931 airs plus extra 4d & "Five Pence" surcharge. Launceston 29 MY 35 b/s. Due to engine trouble across the Tasman all but 1100 of 28,279 letter carried were jettisoned to save the plane. Some light edge wear otherwise sound & an attractive example.
