1940 (21st Jan) England to Australia Interrupted mail cover addressed to Sydney with 1/3d KGVI franking. Due to severe weather conditions Empire flying boats were prevented from leaving the UK between 20th Jan & 2nd Feb. It was so bad that at one point the sea froze over in Poole Harbour. A queue of flights caused this cover to take a month to reach its destination. Manley, NSW 24 FEB 1940 b/s.
