1911 (18th Feb) World's First Airmail Flight. Allahabad to Naini, India by Henri Pequet in Sommer biplane. Clear magenta "FIRST AERIAL POST U.P. EXHIBITION ALLAHABAD 1911" cancel on ½a green. Allahabad cds for 18 FE 11. A French postcard showing on reverse L'Hotel de Ville, Dijon. Aside from 3cm corner crease, card is in excellent cond. History of flight written up with item. Fascinating.
