1936 Athena crash cover addressed to Melbourne & postmarked London 22nd Sept. Pickfords Company envelope with KGV stamps perfined "P". A typed section of a letter which appears to be original reads, "The accompanying postal article was salvaged from the Air Liner "Athena", which was damaged by fire at Delhi, India on 29.9.36. GPO Melbourne C1 F.W. Arnold A/g. Deputy Director". Cover burnt on edges.
