1975 (9th Sept) X-24B Flight B-29-42 illust commem cover pmkd Edwards, Ca & signed by Bill Dana, an American aeronautical engineer, U.S.A.F. pilot, NASA test pilot & astronaut. He was one of twelve pilots who flew the North American X-15, an experimental spaceplane jointly operated by the Air Force & NASA & on two separate flights flew this to an altitude above 50 miles, thereby qualifying as an astronaut according to the United States definition of the boundary of space.
