1914 (19th Sept) "Military Camp" rubber cds impression on 1d KGV in violet. Based on this date & its origin, it is thought to be from the recently established A.I.F. Pontville Camp in Tasmania which opened in August 1914. Later that year in October, its name was before changed to the Brighton Army Camp suggesting this was used in the interim for a very short period of time & scarce thus. Sold "as is".
