South Africa-Cape of Good Hope 1853 1d & 4d on blued paper, latter with right corner a trifle short before slightly blued paper for 1d brick-red & 2 shades of 4d (SG 3, 4 & 4a). Also 1855/63 1d rose & rose-red, 4d in 2 shades, 6d in 3 shades & 1/- in both catalogued shades. The 1/- dark green has tight margins, as does the 6d slate-lilac but others are all clear 3 margin examples. Ex Barratt-Lennard. Total SG cat. £4,400 (16)
