Postal Markings for Fremantle 1889-1993 period of Cliff St P.O. operation under Postmaster Lewis J. Stirling. Comprising philatelic items, plus plans, photos & an artistic card of farewell to the Postmaster in 1903. Several pieces show the lilac Internal Revenue that were authorised for postal use in 1893 through to 1897, highlight being 3d on Oct 1893 cover showing cds & barred "F" duplex. Continues into a second volume covering Cliff St P.O. 1889-1907 & Market St P.O. from 1915 to 1943 showing PMI Colonial type 3 cds, dumb obliterator registration markings & for Market St before 1939/43 machine cancels plus a photo of Cliff St Postmaster J.J. Lloyd (1903/07). Also noted incoming postcard from Trinidad (1907) to North Fremantle. Very well researched & displayed. (130+ philatelic items plus photo)
