Postal Markings for Fremantle 1895-1907 Town Hall P.O. (C.A.G. Payne, Postmaster) & subsequently at H.M Customs House, Phillimore St & nearby Railway Station. Incls 109 philatelic items with Registration markings, illustration of office seal, PMI Colonial type 5 cds & Colonial Duplex Type PO obliterator with index letters. Noted Fremantle Railway Station strikes with all control numbers from 1 to 6 incl control no. 6 on strip of 3 x 6d Internal Revenue authorised for postal use in 1893 but still used in 1899 as on this strip with 1/- single. Overall quality of cds strikes is excellent.
