1941 (10th Dec) 1d brown QM, 1½d green, 2d mauve & 3d brown KGVI defins on GPO Sydney registered plain "First Day Cover" endorsed cover addressed to JH Smyth, GPO Sydney. ASCS Cat. $500 individually even though all 4 were issued on the same day with colour changes to bring this series into line with UPU regulations upon the introduction of the ½d war tax that day. Fresh & fine cond. with vendor having paid $750 for this outstanding FDC.
