Burma Japanese Occupation issues on leaves incl ''Peacock'' ovpts on KGV 3d, 9p (2), 2a; KGVI first issue to 4a (8 diff) in changed colours to 1a, plus ''no curved line below peacock'' on 1a, 2a, 4a & 2R; 8a green pictorial vert pair (Official ovpt) showing wide and narrow base se-tenant. Also 1943 Shan States 3c to 30c plus ovpts on complete set, 1943 Paddy Field (8 diff used), Independence Day set of 3 (MLH) & pictorials to 2R also MLH. The peacock overprints have been viewed by a specialist who believes them to be genuine. With a total cat of £2800+, the estimate is conservative to allow for the possibility of a forgery or two. (55)
