1840 1d black neatly tied by a full Maltese Cross cancel in red to a pre-printed Robert Bradford & Co. Insurance Certificate for a voyage from Liverpool to Bombay with a £500 premium. Lovely wording with beautiful writing. MY 25 1840 cross backstamp. Central filing fold otherwise in excellent cond. Attractive early Penny Black usage.
