Kojonup 2 Mar 1898 cds 2b & 2 x BL-K oblit cancels (the 11 bars are distinct but the K is only just discernable) addressed to Austria. The cds is 6 months earlier than recorded in PMI while the BL-K is at least 3 months later. This is the second cover with the BL-K olbit to emerge. The first sold for $7250 in an Australian auction in March 2010. Backstamped Albany MR 4 898 in blue. Worn cond with one tear at base & two small vertical tears at top but missing the stamps. Conservative estimate taking into account cond but nonetheless rare.
