My sincere thanks to all those that participated in our latest auction, both vendors and bidders and the staff on the day. It was the best single auction thus far with the most number of vendors (61), most successful bidders, greatest lot clearance at nearly 80% and the highest total prices realised.

Areas of strength included early pre-decimal Australian, Western Australian postal history, including the 1840 Padbury cover selling for $3350 and classic British Commonwealth. In addition there were popular areas in the collections with Germany and Great Britain doing well and an early album of Kangaroos and KGV with various varieties reaching $4100. Needless to say the box lots on Sunday created a frenzy of bidding with some going home with laden cars and anxious about the wife's reaction!

With our updated computer system delivering instant results to those preparing the auction lots for collection downstairs and prompt invoicing, successful bidders were able to "checkout" in record time. WE now have the added feature of a large screen in the auction room itself providing lot information including the opening price, a description of the lot and picture. This facility was well received with some bidding on the spur of the moment having missed the item during viewing and seeing it on the "big screen" motivated them.

We are already preparing for Sale 10 being held during the Swan River Stamp Show on the 8th and 9th October. Please contact us if you wish to submit lots. These need to be received by mid August to be included. Thanks again to all including the guys who helped on the day. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can assist in anyway with your collecting requirements.
