Great Britain 1858/79 1d red QV accumulation loose & unchecked in small box with others sorted in glassines. Also noted mounted "stars in upper corners" (c50) & some leaves with plate numbers from 93 onwards missing 109, 131, 133, 142-43, 153, 168, 219, 221, 223 & 225. Noted 1870 ½d pl.15 pair on mourning cover plus 9 plates (no pl.9), 1864/79 plates 127, 138, 156 & 158 on 1871-1878 covers with a pl.188 MLH block of 4 & pl.100 single used with misplaced horizontal perfs. Also, various shades & plates 123 reconstructed with 232 of 240 positions in order on leaves, plate 135 with 231 of 240, plate 137 with 229 of 240 & plate 134 with 198 of 240 - all challenging in their own right! Finally 1858 2d blue plates 7 to 15 (no 10, 11 - unissued) fine used with a part reconstruction of plate 9 consisting of 145 of 240 with most good to fine). A highly recommended lot especially at this conservative reserve with many potential "finds" for the specialist. (c1500 + covers)
