1882 Internal Revenue Swan master die proof for the pence values with blank value tablet in black on highly surfaced card (92x61mm) with "21 SEP 81" & "BEFORE HARDENING" h/s's. Ex De La Rue Archives. Lovely thematic bird item. Francis Kiddle's similar proof sold at Prestige auction 9/11 for $2760 & another at Mossgreen 2/17 for $2400 incl BP (see plate 6).
