According to Proud this cover would have been on service WS160 which left Sydney on 25th Jan 1942 by Horseshoe flight out of Australia. 1d QM & 1/- Lyrebird tied by light Air Mail Section 22 JAN 1942 cds. with "Passed by Censor" tying Opened By Censor tape at left. Bombay GPO 7 FEB 42 b/s's. (Ref: E.B. Proud "Intercontinental Airmails"). Worn cond but rare.
