USA 1924 (Apr-Sept) First Aerial Circumnavigation of the Globe by members of the US Army Air Service. This was carried on the preliminary stage from Santa Monica (CA) to Seattle (WA). Franklin 1¢ postal card with "Around the World Flight United States Air Force" & "Santa Monica Cal Cloverfield 1924 First Leg Seattle Wash" cachets plus "Douglas World Air Cruisers Liberty Motor 400hp Biplane" cachet on reverse. Minor blemishes not detracting. Ex Frommer.
