1948 (1st Nov) Commonwealth Savings Bank of Australia "For Registered Mail Only" long red printed env with 5½d emu tied by "Postal F Department" relief cds & neighbouring "GUILDFORD SOUTH" provisional regd label. Addressed to Perth. Guildford South rubber h/s b/s's plus another F Dept cds. Guildford South PO opened as an Allowance Office 23-08-48. The dates of its only recorded postmark E31 being 18-01-60 to close on 2-07-69. Very good cond. Small adherence on front otherwise fine & a rare survivor. Appears vendor paid $100!
