1934 (1st Dec) 1/6d Hermes, no wmk in combination with 4d olive KGV tied by Sydney Registered cds on FDI. "1st Australia-Singapore-England Air Mail" endorsed cover with "Singapore" crossed out & replaced by "London". Addressed to Chicago, USA with relevant b/s's. Previous Eastern States auction house descriptions reads, "Exceptionally desirable example of this stamp with both a first day cancel and also used for overseas airmail for which purpose it was issued. Sent by noted Sydney philatelist Ashworth-Spreat." VG cond. Vendor paid $750 in the auction.
