The first "KGV 1d red" box lot we have offered!! One for the specialist with a special UV lamp & spare globe plus a number of iconic publications. The UV lamp designed by White & Blazer & sold by a Melbourne dealer in the 1990's for $375. In good working cond with a spare globe. Literature incls "Australian KGV 1d red Shades" a 21 page monograph by Alan White (Melbourne) plus "Stamp News" notes (Oct 1922 to Jan 1993), "The Red Head" by Colin Beech the British Society of Australian Philately (1998) 139 page publication linking shades to UV readings - invaluable! Also "Scrapbooks" of notes gleaned over the years from magazine, dealers notes etc in 4 files plus general publications by Major Dormer Legge (125 pages), D.S. Wallen (24 pages) & D.M. Neil 1947 (71 pages). The Aust Philatelist Yearbook 1991 with Die II article by Charles Hoskins, Plating manuals for "George V One Penny" (1960) published by the British Society of Australian Philately (225 pages), "The Surface Printed KGV 1d Sideface Issue Variety Catalogue" by Monk 1996 & "Plating The Die II" by Wajer & Monk 2004. All in fine used condition. Ex Lacy.
