1974 (10th Sept) Last flight of VH-BRC "Beachcomber" from Lord Howe Island with photo card signed by Harry Woolnough, Lord Howe Island Museum Patron, together with b/w photos of the aircraft & a colour postcard. Card incls a piece of the aircraft "fabric taken from the aileron of Beachcomber which was replaced when she washed ashore in 1974". Also 2 APO covers to Qld with 7ยข coil tied by Rose Bay-Lord Howe Island-Rose Bay pictorial pmks for the same day. Also extract from AAMC giving history of the service & an additional write-up.
